Samidha is a type of wood stick or twig used in Hindu rituals and ceremonies, particularly in the Homa or Yajna ritual. It is made from the wood of specific trees, such as mango, peepal, neem, banyan, or palash, which are believed to have spiritual significance. The samidha is used as fuel to light the sacred fire in the Homa or Yajna ritual, which is believed to be a symbolic representation of the sacrifice offered to the Gods. The samidha is typically soaked in ghee or other offerings before being used in the fire. It is considered an important element in Hindu religious practices and is believed to bring blessings and positive energy to the devotees.
